Organized by Bruegel
Established in 2005, Bruegels is independent and non-doctrinal. Its mission is to improve the quality of economic policy with open and fact-based research, analysis and debate. They are committed to impartiality, openness and excellence. Bruegel’s membership includes EU Member State governments, international corporations and institutions.
The Annual Meetings are Bruegel’s flagship event which gathers high-level speakers to discuss the economic topics that affect Europe and the world. PAI’s Katya Klinova joined a panel on September 6 titled “Automation and algorithms at work: managing the labour market impact of AI.” The panel discussed (1) how society can steer the R&D of AI in a labour-complementing and welfare-enhancing direction and (2) how businesses can responsibly implement these technologies in the workplace.
