Over the last twelve years, MozFest has fueled the movement to ensure the internet benefits humanity, rather than harms it. As the festival matures, we remain focused on our work to build a healthier internet and more Trustworthy AI.

Event Overview

How do we mitigate against the tide of synthetic media that’s exploded over the last year? How can we ensure that consumers know the media they’re seeing isn’t real? How do we empower good faith actors to create synthetic media responsibly?

This lighting talk is designed to give festival participants an overview of what goes into designing PAI’s Responsible Practices for Synthetic Media: A Framework for Collective Action. The Partnership on AI has worked together with a diverse set of stakeholders including industry Partners, advocacy organizations and subject matter experts to conduct over a year’s worth of research, stakeholder engagement, steering committee input and public consultation. The learnings from this endeavor are condensed in this lightning talk to give insight into the co-creation process required to create AI governance and guidelines. Join us for insights, examples and shared learnings from creating the Framework.
