Event Overview
Dr. Tina Park of PAI joined Clara Langevin of C4IR Brasil, Christopher Wilson of the University of Oslo, Dr. Baobao Zhang of Syracuse University, and Saif Malhem of Global Shape for a conversation on Public Engagement in AI at Youth and The Future of AI.
Youth have always been at the forefront of social change, standing on the shoulders of those who came before them as we have seen in climate, civil rights, and prior social movements. Youth and The Future of AI was the first global convention of youth and next gen leaders coming together to ensure that AI systems around the world are built responsibly and equitably.
The Youth and the Future of AI Conference was spread over a day and a half. The first day hosted a suite of responsible AI-focused morning sessions and sector-focused afternoon sessions. The conference culminated on the second day as attendees convened for geography-focused workshops to craft a youth and next gen leaders AI manifesto, tackling the most critical AI-related priorities, opportunities, and risks of their communities. Regions consisted of: South America, North America, Swana, Africa, Europe, Asia and South Asia.
