Overview
The decisions being made today around AI will radically change the future of work. This can’t be taken lightly – we must put in the work now to prioritize workers’ interests.
We’re pleased to announce the launch of PAI’s Guidelines for AI and Shared Prosperity, designed to steer us towards a future where AI doesn’t “steal jobs” but rather creates good jobs and positive economic benefits for society. To learn more about this work, we invite you to join our upcoming webinar, “How to Make AI Work for Workers” on Wednesday, June 21 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST.
Coming at a crucial time for both AI and the economy, the Guidelines include a tool to assess an AI system’s high-level impacts on workers and the labor market, best practices for AI-creating and AI-using organizations, as well as suggested uses for labor organizations, workers, and policymakers.
This work was made possible thanks to the contributions of PAI’s AI, Labor and the Economy team in close collaboration with the AI and Shared Prosperity Initiative’s Steering Committee, frontline workers from the US, India and Sub-saharan Africa, and many Partners who offered their insights and guidance. We invite all interested stakeholders to help us test and refine the Guidelines.
