PAI’s global multistakeholder approach to empower responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI solutions, that empower people and improve society, has never been more important,” said Jerremy Holland, PAI Board Chair and Director of AI Research at Apple.
PAI is unique in its belief that, in order for AI to be developed responsibly, it must include perspectives and voices from across sectors, borders and lived experiences. The impact of PAI’s recommendations and best practices makes this clear. The organization is an intentionally inclusive community that welcomes responsible actors across the AI ecosystem. PAI’s work includes model safety, and addresses issues of societal impact, such as media integrity, labor and the economy, and fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Jatin Aythora, Director of BBC Research and Development, and Joelle Pineau, Vice President of AI Research at Meta, have been elected as Vice-Chairs, a role previously held by Eric Sears, Associate Director, Technology in the Public Interest program at the John D. and Catherine T.
